If you’re upgrading, decommissioning or refreshing your data centre infrastructure, we provide nationwide collection and responsible recycling of all enterprise IT hardware, supporting colocation facilities, managed service providers and in-house IT teams.
Why secure data centre recycling matters
Did you know that you must dispose of data centre hardware through the correct channels? Under UK law you have to ensure that servers, switches, storage arrays, UPS units and cabling are handled securely and responsibly.
Our recycling process supports sustainability by recovering:
- Copper, aluminium and steel
- Precious metals from circuit boards
- Plastics and casing materials
- Batteries and power components under hazardous waste regulations
When equipment is still operational, we refurbish it to extend its lifecycle, reducing carbon emissions and supporting ESG goals.
What data centre equipment we collect and recycle
Get in touch if you have a question or if you want to recycle something that isn’t listed. We can advise on the correct recycling route for all WEEE.
Secure data destruction
We wipe or physically destroy all data-bearing devices using NCSC-approved sanitisation methods. These are fully compliant with GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Our process includes:
- Secure digital wiping or physical destruction
- Optional Enhanced Data Destruction with per-item certificates (£5 ex. VAT)
- Full chain-of-custody tracking for all data-bearing devices
You receive audit-ready documentation confirming compliant data destruction.
WEEE compliant data centre recycling
The UK WEEE Regulations require electrical and electronic equipment to be recycled through licensed waste carriers. We make compliance straightforward:
- On-site collection from data centres or secure facilities
- Licensed transport under UK waste carrier rules
- UK-based recycling at certified facilities
- WEEE-compliant documentation for audit and reporting
We manage the legal and environmental requirements, so your team doesn’t need to.
