Leaders in the UK’s circular economy

Driven by a mission to raise the standards of IT recycling, we are committed to solutions that limit waste in the UK and avoid exporting waste, contributing to pollution in other countries. At Zero Tech Waste, we’re not just recycling IT—we’re redefining the future of responsible and sustainable recycling.

We go beyond industry norms by operating as a carbon-negative business, actively working to reduce our environmental impact. From using electric vehicles for as many IT asset collections as possible, to supporting a robust tree-planting carbon offset program, every aspect of our operations is designed with sustainability in mind.

Reuse over recycling

Everything we collect is prioritised for reuse (after secure data sanitation), supporting the circular economy and minimising the carbon footprint that is required for recycling and materials recovery:

  • 100% WEEE-compliant by ensuring IT assets are processed responsibly.
  • Zero landfill guarantee – everything is either reused or ethically recycled.
  • Materials recovery – Circular economy solutions to extend the lifecycle of IT assets. Components such as plastics, circuit boards, and metals are extracted and reintroduced into the supply chain. Our recycling process ensures that valuable materials, including copper, aluminium, gold, and rare earth elements, are repurposed rather than wasted.
  • No waste is exported to other countries – Everything is processed here in the UK, minimising mileage at every stage: we’re doing our best for the planet.

We’re campaigning for policy change and developments in the UK’s Circular Economy as active members of the All-Party Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group. We’re also members of professional trade associations such as TechUK and the Federation of Small Businesses.

We’re trusted by leading UK businesses

“I often get asked where we can send old tech to be recycled with the peace of mind that our data will be removed. We used Zero Tech Waste and were really impressed with the team. We had a quick convenient collection and have already received our certificate of destruction along with our carbon offset document.”

Malvern International recommend Zero Tech Waste

As part of consolidating our multiple sites, we had a large volume of unwanted and obsolete IT equipment, including servers, laptops, desktops, printers and monitors. We chose Zero Tech Waste because they were flexible in collecting all of our IT assets — something other companies were not able to offer — and they could move quickly, which was important as we were keen to empty our premises.

The team securely collected everything, permanently deleted all data free of charge, and ensured 100% of the equipment was recycled responsibly. On completion, we received a Carbon Offset Certificate, providing clear evidence of the environmental benefits. The service was both efficient and professional.

Emma Louge, Tempura Communications

Tempura Communications

We had a really positive experience with Zero Tech Waste. Booking was easy, and communication both over the phone and by email, was extremely prompt and clear.

James arrived at the agreed time to our office to collect a large number of PC monitors, cables, and other electrical equipment that had accumulated over more than ten years. He was very considerate, especially as we had meetings taking place at the time, and he worked efficiently while keeping any disruption to a minimum.

I’ve already booked another collection for our AV equipment. The prices are very reasonable, and I’ll definitely be keeping Zero Tech Waste’s contact details in my address book for future collections.
