Responsive collections. Proper paperwork. No loose ends.

Handing over old IT should not create new risks. Whether you are emptying a comms room or replacing a whole fleet of laptops, our customers rely on us for the same things: quick responses, careful handling and a clear record of where every device went.

What makes us a safe choice for IT recycling in Slough?

  • Based in Berkshire
  • Fully GDPR and WEEE compliant
  • Certified data destruction
  • Reuse-first, carbon-negative recycling

Every retired device is a potential data breach until it has been properly wiped or destroyed. It also carries legal duties under the WEEE regulations, and scrapping equipment that still works wastes the resources that went into making it. We take care of all three, so you can clear space with confidence.

Slough is one of the UK’s biggest data centre locations, with the Slough Trading Estate and a busy corporate and logistics economy close to Heathrow. A few miles away, Windsor’s hotels, visitor attractions, schools and professional firms rely on IT just as heavily. Whatever you need to clear, we collect it from your premises, handle it securely, destroy any data and provide certificates for your audit trail. If you are decommissioning racks, our data centre IT recycling service is built for exactly that.

Local collection. National standards.

Our base at Beenham in West Berkshire sits on the same M4 corridor as Slough and Windsor, so reaching you is straightforward for our team. We also collect across Langley, Eton, Datchet, Burnham, Maidenhead and Egham, which makes us a practical choice for IT recycling in East Berkshire. That means a local, responsive service with the processes and accountability of a specialist UK IT recycling company.

Excellent experience. Used Zero Tech Waste to dispose of ~50 laptops, HDDs and other misc. WEEE. Professional from start to finish; Ollie replied to my initial enquiry very quickly with a quote, and on collection day James was on-time and the removal was very fast. Highly recommend this company for any organisations requiring regulation-compliant IT disposal!

I had a fantastic experience with Zero Tech Waste. Another company said the equipment wasn't enough to cover their costs and asked us for £395+VAT. But it was no problem for Zero Tech Waste, who collected the equipment the next day and provided certificates of data destruction and carbon offset. Highly recommended!

Common questions about IT recycling in Slough

Can you take servers and data centre equipment from sites in Slough?

Yes. We collect servers, storage, networking equipment and loose drives from data centres and comms rooms, with certified data destruction for every storage device. Find out more about our server recycling service.

Is IT recycling in Windsor and Slough free?

It is free when you have 10 or more qualifying laptops, PCs or servers. For smaller loads or specialist items, we confirm any charge before you book. See our charges for details.

How quickly can you collect in Windsor?

We can usually arrange collection within 24 to 72 hours, depending on your location, the equipment involved and any access requirements on site.

Do you provide proof of recycling?

Yes. We provide the relevant documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, Certificates of Destruction and Carbon Offset Certificates.

What evidence do we get that our IT was disposed of properly?

A Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note is signed at collection and emailed to you immediately. Your Certificate of Destruction follows, usually within 72 hours, together with a Carbon Offset Certificate. You can view examples of our certificates.

Do you refurbish equipment rather than scrap it?

Yes, whenever we can. Reuse keeps working devices in service for longer and is the most responsible outcome, which is why it sits at the top of the waste hierarchy. Only equipment that cannot be reused is recycled, through UK-based material streams.

How is our data destroyed?

We use NCSC-approved methods to sanitise storage media, and physically destroy drives where software erasure is not appropriate. Read more about our data destruction methods.

Do you only cover Slough and Windsor?

No. Alongside IT recycling in Windsor and Maidenhead, we collect throughout Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey, and across the rest of the UK.
